Health News Briefs
According to a new CDC report, more than one third of American children do not sleep enough each night, and only 33.9% of children aged 4-17 have a regular bedtime. Black and Hispanic children are much more likely to go without enough sleep. The situation is even worse for Black infants, who are twice as likely than White infants to survive on fewer hours of sleep than doctors recommend. Food insecurity, poverty, and perceived racism are all associated with sleep disparity.
