WHO: Mask Up and Socially Distance to Prevent Omicron Spread

The World Health Organization announced that the protocols for dealing with previous strains of the coronavirus should also be used to prevent the transmission of omicron. Wearing masks in crowded spaces, social distancing, and vaccinating those who have yet to be vaccinated are the best ways to stave off surges of the virus. The variant is still being studied extensively, and little is known about how easily it spreads, whether it makes people more seriously ill, or if it is better at infecting vaccinated people.
