FDA Approves Another Booster for People 50 and Older

Americans over the age of 50 are now eligible for their second COVID-19 booster shot, although they must wait at least four months after their first booster. Some immunocompromised populations are also allowed to get a second dose. Pfizer and Moderna both claim that a second booster will provide more protection for people for yet another surge. However, the FDA only looked at a small study conducted in Israel before they made their decision to authorize the additional dose. Israelis only recently received their second booster shots.
