FDA Says Hepatitis A Outbreak Came From Strawberries

An outbreak of hepatitis A in the United States and Canada was caused by organic strawberries. The FDA announced that the tainted goods were sold by FreshKampo and HEB at stores like Trader Joe’s, Aldi, Walmart, and Kroger. The affected consumers bought the fruit between March 5 and April 25. Anyone who has not been vaccinated against hepatitis A and may have ingested these strawberries should speak to their doctor. Strawberries being stored in the freezer that were purchased from these stores during this time period should be thrown away immediately.
