Type 2 Diabetes Outcomes Improve with Increased Physical Activity
By Radiant Health EditorsPublished: February 20, 2022
According to a new recommendation from the American College of Sports Medicine, individuals living with type 2 diabetes should increase their physical activity as much as possible, and it does not have to be with exercise routines. These patients should work to reduce the amount of the time they currently spend sedentary by standing up and walking around at regular intervals. The new guidelines also suggest that type 2 diabetes patients improve blood sugar levels with high-intensity resistance exercise 4-5 times per week rather than low-to-moderate intensity workouts.
